About Phyllis

Phyllis Smith, owner of A Younger You, has made it her mission to educate and help people advance their quality of life via improved facial skin appearance and healthy skin care.

She has over 30 years of experience in the Cosmetology field and has lectured on the topics of Skin Care, Dealing With Diseases and Skin Disorders.

Phyllis believes in the importance of education! She spoke on behalf of the Chicago Skin Institute to all the major universities and colleges in Illinois and Indiana. Her signature speech, "How to maintain a professional appearance in the work force!", addressed the importance of preparing for and maintaining a professional and well-groomed appearance in everyday life and the workforce.

For 5 years, Phyllis was instrumental with the Miss Illinois Beauty Pageant as a make-up artist. Two of those years, Phyllis served as Make-Up Artist Supervisor, for all of the pageant make-up artists.

Phyllis found her true passion after being introduced to the Jade Academy and the Jade Non-surgical Face Lifting and Correction technology. Phyllis worked and received special training with Dr. Charles McWilliams, where she saw first hand the incredible results of the Derma Ray and Jade machines. Phyllis began to appreciate the specifics of the machines, as well as reviewing the scientific studies of the radio wave technology.

For Phyllis, the technology was life changing…and suddenly it became more personal.

Phyllis's Story... In Her Own Words

"I was diagnosed with a parroted tumor that was very extensive, implanted on in the right side of my face and neck. I was very lucky that the surgeon I had was one the best around! The amount of damage from surgery was minor relative to what we were expecting. However, I still lost feeling in my right ear and some hearing. There was also numbness on the side of my face and a feeling of slight tingling, though I didn’t have drooping or paralysis of the mouth or eye.

About 5 years after surgery, I began to notice that the muscles from my eye to the top part of my neck were losing tone and tightness, as well as general loss of color and brightness of my skin. Most of the chin area had become flabby and loose. It was depressing!

I was fortunate and found the technology that allowed me to have a non-surgical facelift. I am happy to say that I now have a neck, jaw, chin, cheek and opened eyes, without pain or a massive amount of down-time. This technology took about 10 years off my appearance.

This is why I love to do face work and enjoy seeing others transform into a happier and more confident person. I am incredibly blessed to be able to help change and improve a person’s appearance…and restore their self-esteem!
